Where I started

I'm Muhammed Mubashir (also known online as thacharakkavil), a software engineer from Kerala, India, with hands-on experience across mobile applications, full-stack web development, backend systems, cloud infrastructure, deployment, and emerging technologies.

My technical journey began with mobile application development in Flutter. From there it kept widening: backend engineering, web applications, servers, cloud infrastructure, networking, security, IoT, embedded systems, and AI-assisted software development.

Education

I completed a B.Voc in Mobile Application Development from the University of Calicut, studying at Amal College, Nilambur. Most of my practical engineering knowledge, though, came from building real projects, reading documentation, debugging production problems, experimenting, and learning independently.

Work

Professionally I've worked in the UAE technology environment, including software development for SmartGlobal Domestic Worker Services LLC in Dubai, where I built internal and client mobile applications with Flutter and Node.js APIs.

I later joined First Numismatic Tech Consultants FZCO / Aion Synapse as a Junior Software Engineer and Full-Stack Developer, working across production websites, portals, forms, APIs, cloud services, security-related work, deployment, performance optimisation, and internal technical initiatives.

What I work with

My strongest foundation today is Flutter and Dart, Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, REST APIs, MongoDB, Redis, Firebase, AWS, Docker, Nginx, Linux, authentication systems, cloud deployment, and production application architecture.

I've also worked with Laravel and PHP, JavaScript, React, SQL and MySQL, Git, Cloudflare, Google OAuth, Firebase Cloud Messaging, WebSockets, and the infrastructure around them.

ExamEase

ExamEase is the project that shaped me most: an EdTech platform for exam preparation that I designed, developed, deployed, and continue to evolve. It is far more than a portfolio UI. There is a Flutter application, a Node.js and TypeScript backend, authentication, MongoDB, Redis, AWS infrastructure with S3 storage, notifications, offline functionality, PDFs, mock examinations, admin systems, deep linking, and production deployment.

Building it gave me experience with the complete lifecycle of a software product rather than isolated frontend work. It is live at examease.in and on Google Play.

Unjam

Unjam is a game built with the Flutter Flame engine. It is in closed testing and launches on Google Play in October 2026. Its website, unjam.in, runs on my home server, an old HP laptop, deployed with Coolify and exposed through a Cloudflare Tunnel.

Beyond apps

More recently I've been exploring areas outside conventional application development: home servers, Linux administration, Docker, Cloudflare Tunnels, networking, RFID and NFC systems, ESP32 and other microcontrollers, electronics, 3D printing, game development, cybersecurity concepts, and physical-digital product ideas.

What connects all of it is a wish to understand how systems work underneath the abstraction, rather than only knowing which library or framework to reach for. When I meet something unfamiliar, whether it is Docker, NFC, an AVR microcontroller, a 3D printer, a game engine, or a cloud service, my instinct is to experiment with it rather than only read about it.

AI in the workflow

I use modern AI development tools as part of everyday engineering, not as a code vending machine: for architecture, refactoring, UI and UX work, debugging, research, documentation, automation, and rapid prototyping. I'm interested in how the role of a software engineer changes as these systems become a normal part of the workflow.

What's next

Breadth has been my advantage and my biggest risk. The next stage is less about learning another ten technologies and more about becoming exceptionally strong in the fundamentals: data structures and algorithms, backend architecture, databases, operating systems, networking, debugging, system design, testing, security, and production reliability. Deeper, not wider.
